I thought it looked like a good year for apple blossom. And then, to confirm my suspicions, this happened!
It might not sound like much, but there are nine small apples on the (container-grown) apple tree this year. Eight more than last year. Definitely progress!
So much change in a fortnight!
Dark afternoons and ever-darkening mornings. The garden chaotic with fallen leaves and unfinished projects. Decaying beauty in the woods.
I can’t believe that my last post was in August!
Sincere apologies for not responding recently to anyone who has liked any of my posts. That time thing again.
Not much time today either, as work looms tomorrow. Anyway, to make amends, here are two of my recent pictures of autumn leaves. They’ve both been on my Instagram (easier to do on public transport).
Target: blog more!
Only mid-August; already there’s an autumnal feel about the place. Not the first signs, admittedly, but the rain this morning has emphasised the fading beauty of some of the plants. Change is everywhere…
