I’ve been trying out new themes for my blog, which seems now to be centred around photography (or sometimes nothing).
One of them looked amazing, but didn’t look quite right in tablet view. So it’s back to Twenty Sixteen, but with a different (but still green) header image. It seems to work for me and the way I want to post.
I’d be interested to know what you think…
I’ve realised with a shock how long it is since I last wrote anything on here. So I’m planning to make amends, and dip my toes back in the water, by posting pictures of some of the wildlife I’ve seen this summer. Starting with a ringlet butterfly. I’d never seen one before, although I don’t think they are uncommon, so I was very excited!
But, with this picture, I’m getting back on track!
When I started this blog, I envisaged writing about books as well as gardens (and anything else I found interesting).
Gardening, nature and photography have given me plenty to write about though, and comments on books have been somewhat sidelined. So, I’m going to use my other blog katkarradz.wordpress.com , which is still in its infancy, for comments about books and reading, as well as (I hope) some of my own writing. Gardening books will be an exception; they belong on these pages.
See you there!
Not that I need an excuse, but here’s a photograph I’d like to share with you on this warm June evening.
I’m really enjoying my blog’s new look (the Twenty Sixteen Theme) and I keep finding myself wanting to add more posts to see how they work. Got to be good if it encourages me to post more frequently!
I like the clean, uncluttered layout as well as the fact that it seems to display content attractively, whether on PC, tablet or phone. Photographs look bright and stand out clearly against the white background. I love the way my Instagram photos appear to the right of the latest post.
