If we were having coffee, I’d invite you to step back in time to 31st October, 2014. The date of my first blog post, and a proud but nervous moment it was. Putting my words and thoughts out there before the world. Quiet little me. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, in truth, nothing has gone particularly wrong, but nothing amazingly right either. I’ve found it difficult to post regularly; sometimes whole months can go by without a word entering cyberspace. The focus of my blog has wavered. I take far too long to prepare my photos for posting because I insist on watermarking them, but I’m now wondering why! I want to post about anything and everything, but also feel I have to spend an age combing through each paragraph for errors. I need to make some decisions about how I blog and when.
I’d like to ask you a few questions to help me with this process.
- Should I narrow the focus of my blog?
- Is it necessary to spend time watermarking photos?
- How often should I post?
- Do you have any useful tips that would help me to post quickly, regularly and efficiently?
Oh, and the rose. Mme Alfred Carriere. It was the subject of my first post, way back in 2014. After all this time, it has flowered. So here are the pictures: before and after. I’m hoping my blog can blossom too.
